Sony CDP-101 - unresponsive front panel buttons

I recently made a video in which I had to recreate the front panel button membrane assembly for a Sony CDP-101. This is a fairly common failure point because it relies on carbon traces that degrade over time. The video where I encountered this problem is here: https://youtu.be/ym8xFGLA2Vo

There is just about room inside the front panel to fit in a new PCB with low-profile tactile switches and that is probably the better solution for long term success. However, I chose to make new membrane parts using a Cricut cutting machine. Below are the templates I used along with instructions, but feel free to contact me if anything is unclear.
